Tired of a Boring Kitchen? Here’s How to Fix It.

If your kitchen is feeling outdated or boring, our team at HSH Designs has curated a list specifically for you. After living in any space for a while, things can certainly start to get dull. These five tips are going to help instantly elevate your kitchen without making huge structural changes. From simple ideas like placing fresh flowers to adding new lights, your kitchen will feel brand-new by the time you finish tweaking it.

Display Fresh Herbs & Flowers

Both functional and beautiful, displaying herbs in your kitchen is always a good idea! Whether you have a green thumb or not, fresh herbs aren’t too difficult to maintain. If you’re particularly worried about the growing herbs because of past plant disasters, freshly cut flowers are a perfect alternative to add brightness and color.

Install Open Shelving

While it may seem counterintuitive to put more things out in the open, floating open shelves can greatly enhance the look and feel of your kitchen. Not only are open shelves functional, but they also can be a great place to display your favorite cutting board or hand-carved salad bowl.

Utilize Consistent Storage

It’s easy for a kitchen counter to look messy with bread loaves, cereal boxes, and fruit cluttering the space. Instead, utilize glass containers to store all items you’d like to leave out so that you can still see what’s in it, without the messy look it leaves.
