2024 Design Recap and 2025 Interior Design Trends
As we look back on 2024 and peek into the new year, we’re sharing some of our favorite projects from this year and what’s coming up in the world of interior design of 2025.
Full-Service Interior Design Projects
Gulf Shores
Our Gulf Shores project was all about creating a peaceful beach getaway. This design showcases a transitional Old Florida style, combining classic charm with modern finishes.
Some of our favorite features of this project was the Mica finish, a custom wall with mica chips to portray a jewel-like finish, in the living room.
We mix luxury and comfort to create a home where you can truly relax and enjoy the beauty of coastal living.
Bayview Bliss
Recently featured in the 2024 Fall Edition of Home and Design, Bayview Bliss, was a modern coastal design that took this three-story home to the next level with custom wallpaper, open-concept living, and plenty of plush, inviting furniture pieces.
We focused on making spaces that truly feel like a beach home—making the feel of being on vacation every day!
Seaglass
Seaglass is our first of three new homes being built in Harbour Isles off Anna Maria Island. This project specifically featured a transitional coastal style that combined modern design with classic beach elements.
A majority of the furniture on this project was hand-selected from Fourhands to create a cohesive, cozy, and stylish feel in every room. With lots of natural light, every piece of decor we chose was to connect the stunning views from the outside with the interior of the home. We can’t wait to reveal the other two homes coming in 2025!
Starfish Cove
Starfish Cove underwent a simple refresh with a furniture update and a fresh coat of paint to give it a brand-new feel!
Originally designed as a vacation rental, we updated the space with a transitional beach cottage style, making it the perfect spot for vacationers looking for a relaxing getaway.
You can see the full before and after transformation of this space in our blog post. Read about the refresh here.
Tidehaven
We’re wrapping up our new construction project, Tidehaven, on Holmes Beach. This stunning white house on the water features luxurious finishes and a modern coastal design.
As we finish up this project by the end of the year, we’re currently adding finishing touches and wallpaper to some rooms for extra color and personality.
We can’t wait to share professional photos of this beautiful waterfront home soon!
Whitecap
Whitecap is a stunning home that combined warm wood tones with coastal style, fully embracing the coastal West Indies design.
The selection of colorful accent walls, bold wallpapers, and two toned kitchen, created a very fresh and inviting atmosphere as soon as you step in through the front doors.
Keep an eye out for the full gallery we’ll share soon!
Lakewood Manor
After four long years of hard work, Lakewood Manor is almost finished! It’s bittersweet for us since this was one of our largest projects, especially with all the intricate trim work we put in.
The design is a blend of traditional and modern Spanish Mediterranean style, we loved collaborating with the clients to create a space that tied in antiques and timeless touches. Every part of the home was carefully designed from the hidden closet in the primary suite to hand-pressed Philip Jeffries wallpaper in the powder bath.
Rental Design Projects
Coco Cabana
Coco Cabana is a new construction home just a few blocks from the beach, featuring a beautiful palette of blues and whites throughout. We can’t share too much yet, but we are super excited about the custom bunk room that our architectural design team created, its such a fun and functional touch for visiting vacationers.
More vision and inspiration will be shared soon as we bring this project to life, with an estimated completion date in 2025!
Dockside Retreat
Dockside Retreat is another beautiful new rental home right on the water. It’s showcasing a modern, coastal style—picture light, airy colors and natural decor to create a beachy oasis in every room.
The interior will feature bluish-green wallpapers that remind you of the Gulf, along with stylish rattan light fixtures and woven style furniture to add an inviting, laid-back feel.
This home is embracing the coastal lifestyle we all know and love, and it will be ready in 2025.
Architectural Design
Cornerstone Church
After designing the foyer and cafe, our clients asked us to come back to update the kids' area at Cornerstone Church! The goal was to make the infant and toddler rooms more fun and engaging. Our lead architectural designer transformed this space with visual learning cues all around!
From the ceiling to the walls, there is something exciting for every kid to discover. The vibrant colors, playful themes, and interactive elements create an environment that encourages exploration and learning. Learn more about this project HERE.
These are just a few of the exciting projects we’ve been working on this year. We have even more in the pipeline, so stay tuned for what’s to come with HSH Collective Home and Design.
Interior Design Trends 2025
In 2025 we expect to see some exciting shifts in design trends. Here are a few we have been seeing:
Dedicated Spaces
More spaces will be dedicated to specific needs, such as workout areas, flex spaces for families, and offices, moving away from the open-concept layouts that have been so popular.
These dedicated spaces are not only such a fun space to design but for the end user, it makes your home planned out and functional.
Organized Kitchens
There’s also a growing desire for organized homes, with a focus on well-planned kitchens that include the addition of butler pantries/back kitchens, cabinetry in the island, and a separate beverage station for a coffee or bar.
Also, see the trend in cleaner kitchen designs with hidden appliances and storage spaces that keep your home looking tidy and stylish.
Eclectic Design
We see a return to eclectic styles, where personality shines through. Think bold colors in furniture, colored cabinetry, and unique decor. Customization will be key, with more focus on personalized upholstery, unique wall coverings, and incorporating meaningful antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces into your space.
The goal is to create a home that feels uniquely yours, rather than just a showroom display.
2025 Color of the Year
Several paint brands have announced their “Color of the Year”, which we can see what trends to expect in interior design. Here are some of the most popular so far:
Stay tuned as we share more about our 2025 projects and how these up-and-coming trends will shape our designs. Happy New Year!
