Exploring the Atlanta Market with a Luxury Interior Design Company

Buckle up for the inside scoop on our super chic trip to Atlanta Market at Americasmart. Our HSH Collective interior design team jet-setted with our sister shop, Nomad Collection, from SRQ to ATL to attend 2 full days packed with interior design, decor, and the latest designer fashion.

Come with us as we share our four-day journey, unveiling the trends for interior design, a sneak peek at what’s coming to our showrooms, and all the fun that unfolded.

Day 1: Arriving in Atlanta, Georgia

Our trip began at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport where we met up with Nomad Collection, as we headed to Atlanta, Georgia.

Nomad Collection is our sister boutique located on the north end of Anna Maria Island! It’s home to the latest designer clothing, accessories, and home pieces that elevate your counters and drawers. From dresses and swimwear to candles and glassware, Nomad Collection is your go-to destination for curated coastal chic.

Landing in Atlanta, we knew we were far from the sunny Florida weather as we landed in 30 degrees! We bundled up and went on our way to our hotel, before getting ready for an evening at Alma Cocina, a modern Mexican cuisine haven.

Over guacamole, salsa, and an array of delectable tacos, we set our agenda for must-see vendors and pre-made appointments before heading to the Atlanta Market in the morning.

Day 2: Exploring Americasmart Atlanta

What’s the saying? The early bird catches the trend. Well, we may have made that up, but it’s fitting since we woke up bright and early, to head to Americasmart, the leading wholesale marketplace with over 7 million square feet!

We had a short time at the Atlanta Market, and we seriously hustled!

Three huge buildings, 18 stories high, filled with vendors.

Our fitness app clocked us walking 4-6 miles every day – no kidding! We were on a mission to new vendors, uncovering unique decor pieces to add to our storefront and Nomad Collection. Our journey continued with visits to vendors we are excited to announce we now sell in-store, including:

A highlight of the day was a meeting with Daydreamer, where we handpicked our spring line for the Nomad Collection. Stay tuned for bold and beautiful graphic tees making a stylish comeback!

In between all that work hustle, we treated ourselves to some retail therapy and lunch before hitting more vendors and wholesale shops.

The design market revealed all the trending designs for 2024 including:

  • Neutrals with pops of color

  • Bold hues like emerald and deep blues

  • Colored glassware

  • Curved decor pieces from baskets and vases to wall decor.

We ended our day at Bistro Niko, a French-infused restaurant, where we toasted to a successful first day with a sparkling rosé.

Foodie Tip: If you visit Bistro Niko, our recommendations are the Tureen French Onion Soup and the Maine Sea Scallops St. Jacques - thank us later!

Day 3: Taking on Another Day at the Atlanta Market

On our last day at the market, we focused on big furniture pieces and even peeked into Gabby to personally check out some selections for an upcoming delivery at our Lakewood Manor project (check out more details on our Instagram!).

There’s something about trying out furniture pieces that lets us better gauge their depth, size, and comfort—an added step to ensure our clients' satisfaction.

We also made our visits to favorite shops like Made Goods, Annie Selkie, and Loloi Rugs which provided the perfect finale to our market experience. Armed with a list of must-grab items, we ended our journey at Americasmart and celebrated with light apps and Prosecco at White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails

One (or two) glasses and an outfit change later, we headed to an early dinner at La Grotta, a delicious, northern Italian cuisine that seriously felt like we were transported to Italy.

Day 4: Heading Home to Anna Maria Island

As we said a ‘see you later’ to Atlanta, we couldn't help but reflect on the rich experiences and valuable finds from the market on our flight home. Back home, we prepared to dive into the week ahead, armed with newfound inspiration for our clients and exciting orders for you!

Be sure to follow us along on social media as we roll out the latest trends and curated collections at HSH Collective and Nomad Collection, and visit our stores to add a touch of luxury and style to your space and wardrobe. Your dream designs await —let us make it a reality!
