Designing Project Bayview Bliss: Behind the Scenes

We’re excited to share the long-awaited behind-the-scenes designing project Bayview Bliss, a full-service interior design project on Anna Maria Island, FL.

Our mission was to freshen up the space, focusing on new paint colors, updated cabinetry, fun wallpaper, and all things coastal furniture. We’re sharing room-by-room our coastal home designs and we even threw in a few tagged pieces so you can shop the look too ;)

Open Concept Living Room:

What’s great about this home is the open floor plan. Our first time walking into the living area definitely took our breath away, because hello that view!!

Our vision was to create an airy space that tied in the natural elements of the island. We opted for a custom-made wallpaper from Look Walls, that added blues and greens of the ocean inside. We layered the area rugs to elongate the space, while a plush sectional from Fourhands and custom accent pillows brought the cozy vibes.

This room gets a lot of natural light, but when you want to have an afternoon movie marathon, we've got you covered! We installed motorized blinds on every window, so you can easily block out the sunshine for the perfect cinematic experience.

Luxury, Modern Kitchen Design:

The kitchen might have received the biggest facelift! We didn't just stop at a fresh coat of paint; oh no, we went all out! We installed a new, glass backsplash, Pompeii countertops, and ceiling-height cabinetry from progressive cabinetry for all the storage our clients could dream of.

Our vision? A luxurious kitchen that was functional and had plenty of room for friends and family to enjoy.

To add the final touches, we hung two rattan pendant lights from Regina Andrew. They perfectly matched the two-tone cabinets, adding a cozy and textured vibe to the space. And for seating, we chose chic counter stools from Meadow Blue, bringing both style and comfort to the kitchen.

But we didn't forget about our furry friends! We made sure to include a Dog Feeding Bowl right in the kitchen island, so every member of the family could enjoy mealtime together.

Balcony and Backyard Highlights:

We wanted to make the most of that gorgeous Florida weather, so we decked out the balcony with a sweet outdoor dining setup for enjoying meals with a view. You can enjoy the Tampa Bay or watch the family in the pool below, making it the ultimate spot to kick back and relax.

And let's talk about the poolside setup! We brought in four ultra-comfy loungers from Fourhands, perfect for soaking up the sunshine by day and stargazing by night.

Coastal Primary Suite:

The primary suite is like its own private escape from the rest of the home. You can soak in stunning views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge with your morning coffee and or head to your private balcony to end the night with a glass of wine.

Now, let's talk details. We added an accent wall to the suite with a striking Philip Jeffries wallpaper that tied together the coastal bedroom furniture and blue shams.

In the en-suite bathroom, we used beautiful, blue shower tiles and added some luxurious touches, like the brass and capiz shell chandelier hanging above the freestanding tub. It's like having your own personal spa right at home.

Peloton Home Gym Set Up:

When one of our clients asked for a Peloton room, we give them a Peloton room. And let us tell you, now we want one too! Our mood board for designing this space was all things wellness – think bright colors, energizing vibes, and of course, those breathtaking views. We wanted to create a space where you could break a sweat and feel amazing while doing it. Who needs a fancy gym membership when you've got this amazing setup at home?

Guest Bedroom Ideas:

Let's talk about these bedrooms – each one's got its own vibe.

In one, you've got this cool Winter Green Philip Jeffries wallpaper that brings the outdoors in. Above the nightstands hang these sleek black pendant lights, giving off a cozy glow. The Fourhands bed's decked out in soft linen, with headboard pillows held in place by brown leather straps.

Now, the other bedroom has a different feel – think calm and soothing. The wallpaper is this soft greyish color that just makes you want to relax. The bed's all grey with pops of blue in the linens and pillows, inviting you to snuggle in. And check out the Fouhands nightstands – they're made from this light-colored wood and have these classy leather pulls.

Each room's got its own style, but they both scream comfort and coziness – just what you want in a bedroom, right?

Bayview Bliss isn't your average beach house. Our team at HSH Collective Home and Design poured our hearts into every detail, from the cabinetry and furniture down to small decorative details.
